How Much Is My Face Worth?

I've been thinking about doing this blogpost for a while yet I've been quite reluctant to admit that my face is worth over £200 as I find it to be quite shameful. Nonetheless I figured you might find this post interesting so if you'd like to know the products I've been wearing a lot recently and the total cost of my 'face' carry on reading.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer
Bourjois Healthy Mix Powder
Mac Paint Pot in 'Painterly'
Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette
Mac Pigment in 'Blue Brown'
Mac Eye Kohl in 'Fascinating'
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer
Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder
Tarte 24 hour Blush in 'Exposed'
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Moonstone'
Mac Whirl Lip Liner
Mac Honey Love Lipstick

TOTAL: £263.32

I love and enjoy using a lot of luxurious/high end beauty products however I found the grand total to be quite shocking and rather embarrassing. I dont think doing this tag is going to make me rethink my high end purchases because in the end makeup is my passion and it's what I choose to spend my money on.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments below the grand total of your current 'face', I think it could be quite interesting!

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation | First Impression

After seeing a friend wearing this foundation at college I had to go out and buy it for myself so I went into House of Fraser on that same day and purchased it. First of all, the lady who colour matched me was very lovely and made the experience very enjoyable. This was my first time trying a Chanel face product so I was very excited. Prior to purchasing it I'd never heard of this foundation so was not aware of any reviews or beauty bloggers opinions however when I got home I read through a few and the reviews are fairly mixed. A good amount of people dont like the foundation as they think it's patchy and un-easy to blend while others adore it and call it their favourite foundation.

The packaging alike all chanel products is very luxurious and it comes with a pump which is very pleasing for me. The price point is expensive (£36) but I wouldn't expect any less for a Chanel product.
I applied this foundation with a dampened beauty blender and I'd say I used 3 pumps for my entire face to acheive my desired coverage.
It has a natural medium to high coverage finish and the shade I wear matches my complexion perfectly. I've always heard people talk about foundation being 'light/heavy' on the skin and I never understood that until now. It honestly feels like you are wearing nothing although your skin looks flawless and feels smooth to the touch. It has a light, refreshing and clean scent which makes the application more enjoyable in my opinion and it sets to satin finish on myself. The lady on the Chanel counter informed me that this foundation would work well for combination to oily skin however it looks beautiful on my normal skin.

It claims to last for 15 hours and I wore this foundation to college on one of the hottest days we've had this year and when I got home I noticed that it had stayed put and hadn't moved around on my face as I find other foundations typically do. That's quite an accomplishment in my books so with that being said I definitely recommend that you try this product out and I'm looking forward to using it more in the future.

I hope you found this post interesting and enjoyable to read. Let me know in the comments one of your favourite Chanel products as I'm eager to try more.
